‘Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09’ - Are you familiar with the name? I know, most of the PSP and Xbox 360 owners will say ‘yeah…. we’re’. Well, for the guys with ‘nay’, I’ll tell, what Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 is. ‘Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09’ is a recently released video game and is the newest installment in the gaming world of Tiger woods franchise. It’s released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and will also be available on Wii. While playing Tiger Woods PGA, your ultimate goal is to smash into other cars until they beg for mercy. It simply includes fast-driving, adrenaline pumping action in a brand new environment.If you’ve played any of the Tiger Woods PGA games of the last 5 years, then you should feel well at home here. This latest version doesn’t mess with the formula too much. But some of the new additions, especially all of the ways Gamernet challenges are woven into the gameplay should appeal to just about anyone.Tiger is, as it’s always been, dedicated to gameplay. And before you quickly dismiss it as a simulation of a game that in real life you don’t care about, keep in mind that Golf is one of those core videogame mechanics that anyone and everyone who loves games plays. Like Hockey and Soccer, which few of us will admit to actually enjoy in real life, in video game terms, it’s one of our cornerstones. As a game, golf is awesome. Tiger Woods is even more awesomer.
The analog shot stick is something I had to warm up to, but now I can’t imagine playing without it. For traditionalists there is a 3-click system in place, but only in Easy Play and Balanced difficulty levels. But for that real golf experience, you have to use the swing stick. Through visual cues and tight control over the direction you move the stick (visualized in real-time in the lower left corner of the screen) you can hit a plethora of different shots for different situations. Just like a real golfer would.And you’ll be counted upon to hit those more exotic shots if you want to advance in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09. In addition to a deep career mode, with a ton of options to customize your golfer, minigames and traditional play types, there are a bunch of different challenges available to you to help you advance your skill set on the links.
The Tiger Challenge mode, like in years past, gives you a series of minigames and situational scenarios that earn you points you then use to unlock challenges against other famous golfers. Stages that require things like, “hit three balls at a pin and have the total distance from the hole add up to less than 45 yards.” Or win three skins off of this character. Or win a game of Bingo Bango Bongo. Things like that all help you improve your skills, especially when you follow them up with one of your coaching drills starring Tiger’s real life performance coach Hank Haney.The other sort of challenge-based meta game is based on GamerNet, EA Sports’ online component. When you make a great shot, you can save it as a clip, or as a GamerNet challenge that people can then go and try to repeat. You can even change the parameters around a bit to make your very own minigame out of it. And when you see GamerNet icons in the field of play as you are playing other modes, beating them (hitting a drive farther, getting a ball closer to the pin, etc.) will give you points on your overall GamerNet score.
All of the GamerNet stuff has been tried before, but it’s incredibly well integrated in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09. It genuinely feels like user-created content that you actually want to play. And it’s very satisfying when you nail one in the middle of some other round. But then again, we’re addicted to points of any kind.Even though the GamerNet stuff should appeal to gamers of all stripes, EA Sports hasn’t forgotten about the hard core. Those gamers will want to dive really deep into the finer points of making their clubs do exactly what they want them to. You can build in draw and fade, change the angle of the face, etc.
Despite the finer complexities, golf is really a simple game: get the ball in the whole in the least amount of shots. It’s almost like an XBLA game, and they’ve made some awesome XBLA golf Games (serious, Golf: Tee It Up is kinda rad, don’t deny it). But Tiger intends to be the more complete experience in every way. And even though it’s not exactly a major overhaul of the game, the improvements are great, the game looks great and it’s as fun as ever. Good job, EA.
’ve already joined it and have downloaded several PSP and PS3 games, including the brand new ones. I love to play games and that’s why I purchased PSP last year? But, I was soon fed up with the same games and buying new DVDs was pretty costly. How to have new PSP games? I joined one of those (websites offering free downloads), they got my e-mail ID and send me a confirmation e-mail of their membership. Very excitedly, I was ready to download…. But what it was? They asked me to pay toiled bucks from the pocket if I wanted to have an access to free PSP & PS3 games. I really don’t know what do they meant by ‘Free’?
Then, one of my friends suggested me this website. I joined it reluctantly (considering my past experience). But luckily, I was safe and was not in the hands of charlatans. After availing their membership, I’ve downloaded innumerous PSP and PS3 games, without wasting any penny.
